15 May 2012:  International Day of Families
The International Day of Families, annually held on May 15, celebrates the importance of families and the work started during the International Year of Families.
29 Jun 2012:  Red Nose Day
SIDS and Kids is dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and to supporting bereaved families. Red Nose Day, held annually on the last Friday in June, is the major fundraiser for SIDS and Kids. Funds raised through Red Nose Day activities assist us in providing our vital services and programs.
1 Aug 2012 - 31 Aug 2012:  Seniors Month NT
August is a fantastic month for older people in the Northern Territory. Seniors Month is all about staying active, keeping fit and trying new things. It's a great opportunity to meet people, make friends and celebrate the positive aspects of ageing. With the support of the Northern Territory Government many community groups are hosting a wide range of seniors' activities and events across the Territory.

Child Protection Week promotes the belief that it is everyone's responsibility to make their community child friendly.
10 Sep 2012:  World Suicide Prevention Day
World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10 is an annual event sponsored by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) in collaboration with the World Health Organization.
1 Oct 2012:  Internation Day of Older Persons
On 1 October Australians are encouraged to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons. The Day is an opportunity to recognise the contributions older Australians make to their families and communities, and to encourage participation by older people in community activities. Older Australians are, and have always been, an incredible asset. They have helped shape modern Australia and continue to make significant contributions to society with a lifetime of skills, knowledge and experience.

Getting the girls together for a girls’ night has long been a female institution. As you would know a girls’ night is a celebration, a time to share your feelings and dreams, a time to support and educate each other and most of all an escape from the everyday pressures of life.
